Pinamar Links GC is located in the seaside resort of Pinamar, on the Atlantic Coast of Buenos Aires Province, roughly 4.5hrs from Buenos Aires. Pinamar itself is a bustling summer town with plenty of restaurant and bar options to keep you entertained after a round as well as variety of accommodation choices to suit all budgets.
Pinamar Links is one of the courses that can be included in our Golf on the Atlantic Coast package which also includes the likes of nearby Carilo, as well as courses further down the coast in Mar del Plata such as Miramar.
The course itself is an enjoyable challenge located in a sandy pine forest. The course undulates through the landscape which provides plenty of elevation changes to test your club selections. The greens run true, and again, are challenging due to their slopes……approaching the green to the right level can save you a lot of headaches in green reading!
The course isn’t the longest, coming in at just over 6000 yds, but with its design, this provides a test for all levels of golfer without being too much of a kick in backside for higher handicap players.
The day we played we were unfortunate to have been struck by a mosquito invasion, something that is generally not an issue, which made playing the course nigh on impossible so we only played the back 9 before allowing Mother Nature to win the battle.
What we experienced during those 9 holes was sufficient enough to want us to go back as soon as possible in the future. Perhaps during the spring or autumn months when the heat isn’t quite so taxing and the fairways and fairway bunkers aren’t burnt out. Certainly, sitting out on the clubhouse terrace over looking the lake and 18th green would be a most enjoyable way to spend a late afternoon post round.
